Savings Accounts
A $50.00 minimum balance is all that is required to open a savings account and become a member of the Town of Hempstead Employees Federal Credit Union. The minimum balance requirement only applies to a member's primary savings account. A member may have more than one savings account.
Once you are a member, your family immediately becomes eligible to take advantage of all the Town of Hempstead Employees Federal Credit Union has to offer.

Money Market Accounts
A Money Market savings account is designed for savers looking for a high yield, liquid savings account. Our Money Market Accounts are tier-structured, allowing our members to earn a higher Annual Percentage Yield as their balances reach different levels. This account can be opened with an initial deposit of $2500.00.
This flexible, convenient account also allows limited check writing privileges. Members can write up to 6 checks per month for a minimum of $250.00 each.

Christmas & Vacation Club Accounts
Everybody has occasions throughout the year when some extra cash would come in handy. To help our members put aside money for these special times we offer Christmas and Vacation club accounts.
Open a club account today and make deposits automatically from your paycheck, with any of our tellers, or transfer funds into your club account using Home Banking or our Electronic Teller (E.T.).
Christmas club account balances are transferred electronically into your savings account during the first week in October and your club account is automatically renewed.
Vacation club accounts allow you the flexibility of deciding when you would like to use your funds. Three (3) withdrawals per calendar year are permitted.
Kids Klub Accounts
TOHEFCU encourages children to learn and develop good savings habits, and opening a Kids Klub account is a great way to get started! A $5.00 opening deposit is all it takes. Dividends are earned at the same rate as our regular savings accounts.
We annually hold Kids Klub week, where we promote savings and safety. Free picture identification and fingerprinting are available, as well as loads of other fun giveaways and safety tips.
