The TOHEFCU offers our members the ability to draw funds directly from their savings and checking accounts with our Co-op ATM Card. Our card can be used at over 500,000 participating ATM's worldwide. The Co-op ATM card participates in the Co-op, PLUS, Exchange, and Accel networks.
Members can perform withdrawals, transfers and balance inquiries with their card. All members receive 5 free withdrawals per month. There is a $1.25 fee for all other transactions.
All transactions performed by our card, at our 24-hour ATM Machine, located in front of our 1830 Grand Avenue facility are free of all charges.
The Credit Union belongs to the Co-op and Alliance One surcharge free networks. At these participating locations you can access your funds with no additional bank or network surcharges. To find a surcharge free ATM near you click on the appropriate link below.

Electronic Teller
The TOHEFCU's Electronic Teller (ET), enables members to perform various transactions, such as transfers, balance inquiries, and review paid checks, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call E.T. at 516/867-8000. You will need your member number and PIN that was assigned to you when you opened your membership. If you are unsure of this PIN please contact a member service representative at 516/867-4730. This unique PIN will also give members access to our FREE Home Banking and Bill Pay Service.
Gift Cards
The Credit Union offers Visa and American Express Gift Cards.
The Visa Gift Cards can be purchased for any amount between $10.00 and $500.00 for a fee of $3.00 per card. Visa Gift Cards are accepted worldwide wherever Visa is accepted.
The American Express Gift Cards come in denominations of $25, $50, $100 or $500 and sell for a fee of $3.95 per card. These cards are accepted worldwide wherever American Express is accepted.
Medallion Stamp Guarantee Program
The Credit Union participates in the Medallion Stamp Guarantee Program. This program allows us to guarantee signatures on Securities and Stock Transfers at the low cost of $10.00 per guarantee.

Money Orders
Members of the TOHEFCU are able to purchase low cost money orders at both our Baldwin and Hempstead locations. Money orders can be purchased for a maximum of $1000.00 and there is a $2.00 fee per money order.

Notary Service
Members of the TOHEFCU are able to take advantage of our free notary service. Just stop by either our Baldwin or Hempstead offices and one of our several staffed, certified notary publics will notarize your important document free of charge.

Payroll Deduction/Direct Deposit
Depending on your employer, you may be able to have funds deducted from your paycheck and sent directly to your Credit Union account for savings or loan repayment purposes. Give us a call at 516/867-4730 to see if your employer participates in this program.
At TOHEFCU you can have your paycheck, any government check and many other types of checks directly deposited into your account. You will need to give your employer or payer our Routing & Transit number, your account number, and account type.
Shared Services
The Town of Hempstead Employees Federal Credit Union is a member of the Shared Services Network. This allows our members to perform transactions that they would normally conduct at our Main or Branch offices, at designated financial institutions locally, and throughout the country.

Signature Verification
Credit Union members that need a signature verification for another financial institution, Department of Motor Vehichles, etc., can have that done at our Baldwin Office
American Express Travelers/Gift Cheques
Members of the TOHEFCU are able to purchase no fee American Express Travelers Cheques at both our Baldwin and Hempstead locations. Travelers cheques are available in several quantities and denominations. There is no additional fee for this service.
We also offer our members low cost American Express Gift Cheques at both of our locations. These cheques are available in several denominations. There is a $2.50 fee for each gift cheque purchased.

United States Postage Stamps
Members of the TOHEFCU are able purchase US postage stamps without making an additional trip to the post office. You can purchase stamps by the sheet, (20 stamps) for $8.80 at either of our locations.

United States Savings Bonds
Members of the TOHEFCU are able to purchase or redeem US savings bonds at both our Baldwin and Hempstead offices. You can purchase and redeem series E, EE, or I bonds in all denominations.

Visa Debit Cards
A TOHEFCU Visa Debit Card allows members to draw directly from the funds in their checking account when they make credit or debit purchases at participating retailers.
The Visa Debit Card is accepted everywhere that VISA or ACCEL/Exchange is accepted.
The Visa Debit Card can also be used at an ATM* to draw funds from both your savings and checking account. The card is accepted at all machines that display the VISA/PLUS logo.
The Visa Debit Card also earns bonus points through our VISA Rewards program, ScoreCard. You earn 1 point for every two dollars spent on qualifying credit purcahses. Points can be redeemed for brand-name merchandise and travel awards, including airline tickets!
